Extraordinary Downtowns …

 

…  are so much more than stores, restaurants, traffic cops and

parking spaces. Public meeting places, art, ambiance and aesthetics are often overlooked and

underestimated pieces of a puzzle that … when fully assembled … draws people to admire

and appreciate their town center.

 

Welcome to Highland Park’s Magic Garden Project!   It’s a collaboration among Artists, Poets, Retailers and Property Owners to add beauty, art and interest along Central Avenue and elsewhere in Downtown HP while also recognizing and supporting our outstanding local artists and poets.   

 

Each Magic Garden sculptures were crafted by local artists and are accompanied by a poem of their choosing.    Their works will be on display beginning May 10, 2012.   At the end of summer the sculptures will be available for purchase with proceeds divided equally between The Art Center of Highland Park and the Artists themselves.
